More about me

I am from Bogotá, Colombia, where I studied Industrial Design and started my professional career. I spent 5 years in London, where I completed a Master in Service Design & Innovation and worked at The Young Foundation, Nesta and ThoughtWorks. In 2015 I moved to Madrid to work at Telefónica and Fjord.

I am currently working at IKEA.

My experience

Over the last 10 years, I have earned extensive experience in service & social innovation, qualitative research and digital strategy while working in Agile and Lean environments. I have worked within interdisciplinary and multicultural teams, facilitating communication and enabling collaboration.

As a Service Designer I take a holistic approach in which all actors, touch points, business requirements and channels are considered to evaluate and improve a service/product. I prefer working across the entire life-cycle, from discovery to launch, as it allows me to measure, evaluate and iterate the experience as well as the business model.

I see the Product Designer role as a time traveller: working in the past to understand what has been explored and to increase my subject expertise. In the present, making informed decisions based on data from research and designing so the development team has work to pick up. In the future, establishing a clear vision for the product both in the short and long term.
